Sandy Beach

Today is a great day guys. I woke up and put on shorts. Yep, that’s right. I’m wearing shorts in Alaska! I always find it funny when I tell people we live in Alaska and their mind automatically thinks about how cold it must be. I laugh because I was one of those people until we moved here. Juneau honestly has very mild temperatures even in the winter! We definitely don’t live on a tropical island but I am loving the fact that we can get out in the sun and enjoy the beach.

I try to get out and explore new places here since we only have one more year but when I find a place I love it’s hard not to be repetitive. This is a new spot that we’ve been going to and I’m slightly obsessed because it has baby swings in the sand, huge fire pits over looking the ocean and mountains and an indoor spot in case it starts raining. Not bad huh? I may complain about the rain (a lot!) but Juneau certainly has some great plus sides.

    Hello Chelsea,

I might be a bit late here, but I just discovered your website and I saw the fotos of you and your son.
    First of all Congratulations.
And then I wish you all the fun and happiness, wherever you are.
I remember saying to your dad that your love must be really big when you move from Florida to Alaska …
Please let me know how you are doing!
Kind regards from N Y, since today it’s a bit better, because spring finally did return.

      Hi Heinz,

So nice to hear from you. Thank you very much! I couldn’t pass up the chance to live amongst this gorgeous scenery. I am doing well and keeping busy. Enjoying life as a wife and mom! I was actually watching the movie Midnight in Paris just the other night and thought of you as a lot of the characters were artists you told me about when we walked through the museums. Hope you are doing well and enjoying springs lovely return. Would love to get together again if I ever make it back to the city.
